Cowan International is recruiting a Business Manager-Hydraulic Attachments with 5 or more years of experience.


Our client, a leading heavy equipment OEM, is working diligently to develop and capture more Canadian hydraulic attachments (HAT) market share in the mining and construction sectors. Championing this movement, the selected candidate will help increase sales while optimizing the business and customer experience, ultimately striving to make this employer the undisputed leader of HAT in Canada.

• Drive the company’s HAT Product Line in Canada
• Provide customers with first-class products and support via its dealer network
• Provide strong leadership to the organization in terms of professional conduct, business culture and product knowledge
• Organize, manage and develop the HAT business with full responsibility over P/L and balance sheet.
• Anticipate the business requirements needed to take a company to the next level
• Develop a motivated and dedicated dealer network.
• Develop amazing dealer representatives to support company business partners
• Work with dealer partners to elaborate, develop and control the execution of the HAT Marketing Plan and activities by market segment to reach the best results.
• Increase knowledge of the Canadian market, its needs, future demands, the company’s market share, competitor activities and effectively communicate this information internally.
• Help define and ensure that customer net pricing remains commercially viable and competitive.
• Control assets such as sales stock, office goods, test equipment and customer receivables.
• Work with the BLM to ensure that appropriate resources are in place or developed in line with business growth targets, with special attention to adequate training and support.
• Grow and develop direct reports, such as Product Specialists and Technical Service Representatives, to provide customer service and support.
• Meet business goals, customer satisfaction and market development for the product line

• Willing to travel as required to attain your business goals.

• Five (5) or more years experience working with HAT products, their markets and applications.
• Heavy equipment business development and business management experience in the construction and mining sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in business and/or engineering - not essential, but advantageous
• Proven business acumen
