Cowan South Africa is recruiting a Senior Manager: After Sales Support for this European based provider of various brands of equipment to the mining (HME and light equipment), construction, agriculture, forestry and energy sectors. The incumbent will lead and is responsible/accountable for the strategic, operational and financial performance of this division and with specific focus on best practice after sales support, whole goods and parts inventory management and logistics support for the EMEA regions, including maintaining master distribution agreements, ordering processes and procedure development and roll out, pricing, direct client sales and regional interaction, stocking and collaboration with suppliers for stocking. Oversee/manage inventory logistics and supply chains to best deliver equipment and parts to EMEA from various locations around the world.  In addition, this group is required to provide technical support for the EMEA regions and direct sales and includes Warranty, LCC’s, Large project tendering on scope evaluation and rates development, Technical bulletin dissemination – all for a number of brand leaders.

YOU ARE
Currently or recently employed in a similar position
YOU BRING
-Formal degree or certification in Parts Management or equivalent
-Formal Service or Technical certification or equivalent
-Ten years or more experience in after sales technical support at branch, region or Country level
-Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics and distribution
-5 years’ experience or more with Heavy Earthmoving Equipment parts systems. Capable of developing similar skill sets for other brands
-Can develop LCC costing and familiar with OFR models
-Contract and commercial experience in parts supply and service agreements
-Familiar with OEM distribution agreements
-Experience in dealing with warranty and warranty management
-Comes from service or technical background
-Hands on and capable to succeeding in SME environment
-Good people person and experience in staff development
-Ability to sell when required
