After Sales Manager: Heavy Earthmoving Equipment

Cowan South Africa is recruiting an After Sales Manager: Heavy Earthmoving Equipment for this international mining services company. Incumbent will be responsible for the profitable and seamless operation of the after sales department of a few countries in West Africa.

THE OPPORTUNITY
• Analyse and monitor client satisfaction and taking of remedial actions
• Develop the sales of parts and services in allocated territories, and reaching sales targets in terms of turnover and gross margins for the region
• Take part in negotiations during major events (contracts, tenders, complaints, etc.) with clients
• Supervise and manage field and workshop activities
• Organise work in the department - manage the activity and workload of the team
• Monitor Product Support and Warranty activities - being the main point of contact for the region - and implement new tools and processes
• Setting up training and development plans in conjunction with the Human Resources Department
• Managing all available resources for your team

YOU ARE
• Preferably currently/recently employed in a similar position
• French and English speaking

YOU BRING
• Degree / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering field is essential
• At least 6- 8 years’ experience in a managerial role, related to after-sales processes – and ideally
from a construction or mining equipment dealer background
• Knowledge of HME work shop layout, operations and functions
• Good understanding of the African markets
